IrishNetPay.com is published by Radif Partners, a publisher of calculators and practical guides. Specialising in Irish personal finance, Radif Partners combines his expertise in financial technology with a thorough understanding of the Irish tax system, PAYE, USC, PRSI, and tax credits, to build accurate, transparent, and easy-to-use calculators. He is driven by the goal of making complex tax calculations transparent and available to everyone at no cost.
Our Mission
The mission of IrishNetPay.com is to provide Irish employees, contractors, and job seekers with a fast, free, and accurate salary calculator. We believe that understanding your take-home pay should not require an accountant or expensive software. Our goal is to empower workers across Ireland to make informed financial decisions by demystifying PAYE income tax, Universal Social Charge, and PRSI contributions.
How the Calculator Works
Our calculator uses the latest Irish tax rates, bands, and thresholds published by Revenue.ie for the current tax year. When you enter your gross salary, the tool applies the standard rate and higher rate of income tax based on your personal circumstances, including marital status and tax credits. It then calculates your Universal Social Charge (USC) using the progressive USC bands and determines your Pay Related Social Insurance (PRSI) contribution based on your employment class.
The result is a detailed breakdown showing your gross pay, each deduction, and your final net (take-home) pay. The calculations run entirely in your browser, meaning your salary data is never sent to any server. We update the tax rates at the start of each tax year to reflect changes announced in the national budget.
Data Sources
All tax rates, credits, and thresholds used in our calculations are sourced directly from official Irish government publications. Our primary references include Revenue.ie for PAYE and USC rates, the Department of Social Protection for PRSI rates, and Citizens Information for general guidance on tax credits and reliefs. We cross-reference multiple official sources to ensure accuracy.
While we strive for precision, this calculator is intended for estimation purposes only. Individual circumstances may vary, and we recommend consulting a qualified tax advisor or Revenue for definitive calculations related to your specific tax situation. The calculator does not account for every possible relief, exemption, or special circumstance that may apply.
